The Courant Fund supports children and young people up to the age of 18 across Edinburgh and the Lothians. Applications come from frontline professionals – healthcare staff, teachers, social workers, family support workers and similar – who have direct contact with the child or children concerned. We don't accept applications direct from families.

Grants are typically less than £500. There's no submission deadline: trustees normally meet twice a year, in May and November (the exact date varies), and consider every application received since their last meeting. We'll email you within about a week of the meeting once a decision has been made. All applications are treated in strict confidence.
